Adamsonian-made "Ditas Pinamalas" premieres for Manila Fil Fest

"Ditas Pinamalas," a film crafted by students from Adamson University, was featured in the premiere night of The Manila Film Festival 2024 (TMFF) along with seven other student-made works and four featured films, May 31 at the Manila Metropolitan Theater.
Under the leadership of Director Adrian Renz Espino and Producer Alexander John Burwell, the "Ditas Pinamalas" team celebrated their journey from the grassroots of the COMMotion Film Festival to the TMFF.
The film's selection among the Top 8 out of over 100 entries showcased its remarkable impact, placing it alongside esteemed filmmakers like Pepe Diokno.
The crew expressed heartfelt gratitude to Adamson University President Fr. Danny Pilario, CM and College of Education and Liberal Arts Dean Gaye Lunag for their unwavering support.
"Ditas Pinamalas" offers a fresh perspective on Philippine cinema and exemplifies the creativity and passion of young filmmakers, presenting an optimistic outlook for the future of Philippine cinema, which resonated with the audience and highlighted the vibrant energy and innovative storytelling evident in the festival entries.
"Ditas Pinamalas" and other TMFF 2024 short films are available at Robinsons Movieworld from June 5 to 11 at Robinson's Manila (Cinema 3, Midtown Wing), and on June 10 to 11 at Robinson's Magnolia (Cinema 3, Level 3).
