CpE Dept stands out at ISCCSC 2024

The Computer Engineering Department bannered Adamson University at the 1st International Conference on Smart Computing & Communication for Sustainable Convergence (ISCCSC 2024), which was held in a hybrid format on October 18.
This conference was co-hosted by Chitkara University in Punjab, India, and California State University - Fullerton, USA, in collaboration with Adamson University. The proceedings from the conference are set to be published in a Scopus-indexed publication, further enhancing the visibility of the research presented during its plenaries.
The CpE department successfully presented eight research papers, showcasing the innovative spirit and expertise of its faculty and students.
Among the topics presented included groundbreaking projects such as “AI-Surveillance System for Examination Cheating Prevention,” an “Automated Prest-O-Lite Valve Gripper Switch for LPG Tanks with SMS Alert Notification,” and an “Energy-Harvesting Exercise Equipment.”
“Falcon Print: QR Code Automated Printer Kiosk,” “Pest Eliminator Rover,” and “PigSmartHealth: A Monitoring Device for Potential Health Risks,” were also presented.
Additionally, the Adamsonians introduced a “Seismic Monitoring Device with Wearable Technology for Enhanced Search and Rescue Operations” and “Sleep Haven: A Sleep-Enhancing Lamp With Sleep State Detection.”
A special highlight of the event was the recognition of the paper titled “Energy-Harvesting Exercise Equipment,” which received the Best Paper award under Track C – Technological Convergence and Applications presented by Engr. Dexter James Cuaresma, celebrating the outstanding contribution of its authors.
Dr. Nuna Almanzor, Executive Director of Adamson’s Center for Research and Development (CRD), played a pivotal role as one of the co-conveners of this international event, facilitating a platform for researchers, professionals, and innovators to engage in discussions on Smart Computing, Sustainable Communication, Technological Convergence, and innovative solutions for sustainable technologies.
