THE ADAMSONIAN AWARDS 2022

(OUTSTANDING ALUMNI AWARDS)


RATIONALE

Every 5 years, our outstanding alumni will be awarded for their exemplary performance and extraordinary contribution to the growth and development of the University and to the country as a whole.

The award, called “The Adamsonian Awards,” will be given in recognition of the awardees’ achievement in their respective profession or vocation, for the honor and prestige they have brought the University, and for the meaningful manifestation of their concern for the socially disadvantaged.

CRITERIA

A point system judging will be adopted to evaluate the nominees. Nominations may be done by the college deans, chapter alumni associations, fellow alumni, public and private companies and agencies, and by any group or individual. Self-nomination will also be entertained. It is important that nominees accept nominations made on their behalf. The criteria are as follows:

A. PERSONAL (20)

  • - Continuing Identification with Adamson University (10)

B. PROFESSIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS (40)

  • - Positions held (7)
  • - Performance / Achievements (12)
  • - Membership in Professional and Related Organization (4)
  • - Recognition / Awards Received Local and International (10)
  • - Professional Development (7)

C. COMMUNITY AND SOCIAL SERVICE (40)

  • - Positions held (10)
  • - Standing and reputation of Organization served / affiliated (5)
  • - Contributions to the University (projects undertaken on a community / organization level (10)
  • - Recognition / Awards Received (15)

MECHANICS /DETAILS

  • The award shall be named The Adamsonian Awards.
  • All the bona fide graduates of the Basic Education Department (elementary, junior and senior high school, eight colleges, Graduate School and the Saint Vincent School of Theology are qualified for the award.
  • Those who were enrolled for at least two (2) years or enrolled and finished subjects with an equivalent of at least 60 units in the collegiate level are also qualified for the award.
  • Nominations may be done by the college deans, Grand and Chapter Alumni Associations, fellow alumni, public and private companies and agencies, and by any group or individual.
  • Self-nominations can be accepted.
  • A Posthumous Award will also be awarded to those who qualify as recipients. The award may be received by a representative of the deceased awardee(s).
  • A candidate should accept his nomination.
  • Members of the committee are disqualified from joining the search and from being nominated by others.
  • All nominations should be submitted to the Search Committee via Google form provided by the organizing committee.
