Engr. Rocel Juntura, a seasoned professional in the electronics industry, delivered a compelling address to new Adamsonian graduates, serving as guest speaker for both sessions of the ceremony.

In a stirring testament to the values of perseverance, humility, and the transformative potential of relationships, Engr. Juntura took center stage his story and ideals during the University's 86th Commencement Exercises, held last February 22 at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC).

With an unassuming demeanor and a wealth of personal anecdotes, Engr. Juntura captivated the graduating class and guests alike, delivering a speech that resonated deeply with its emphasis on the significance of connections and mentorship in the journey towards success.

Engr. Juntura's speech began with a lighthearted acknowledgment of his own surprise at being selected for such an esteemed platform. "Why me?" he quipped, expressing his initial incredulity at the invitation. However, any sense of self-doubt quickly dissipated as he delved into his personal narrative, weaving through his experiences that underscored the profound impact of relationships on his professional journey.

Drawing from his background as a graduate of the Bachelor of Science in Electronics Engineering program, Engr. Juntura embarked on a heartfelt exploration of the role that relationships have played in shaping his career and life. With candor and humor, he recounted pivotal moments in his journey, from his early days as a Process Engineer in the Philippines to his eventual transition to leadership roles abroad.

One of the central themes of Engr. Juntura's speech was the transformative power of mentorship. Reflecting on his own experiences working under seasoned professionals both in the Philippines and abroad, he emphasized the invaluable guidance and support he received from mentors throughout his career.

"A mentor is more than just a guide," he asserted. "They are a source of wisdom, support, and inspiration."

As Engr. Juntura shared anecdotes from his time working in Singapore and Amsterdam, his message resonated with the graduating class, many of whom were poised on the brink of their own professional journeys, while some have already embarked and are finding their footing or already making strides.

His emphasis on the importance of integrity, authenticity, and staying true to one's values struck a chord with the audience, serving as a reminder of the qualities that truly define success.

Throughout his speech, Engr. Juntura left an indelible impression on those in attendance. His message of prioritizing relationships, seeking mentorship, and maintaining personal integrity resonated deeply with the graduating class, offering them a roadmap for navigating the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

Engr. Juntura then left the graduates with a final charge: to embrace the opportunities before them while never forgetting the importance of their roots and the support systems that brought them to this momentous occasion.

"You have the whole world in front of you," he declared. "But remember, the Pinoy pride, the Adamson pride, is with you wherever you go."

In a time marked by uncertainty and transition, a momentous event such as an in-person commencement ceremony stood as a beacon of hope and inspiration, that can urge the next generation of leaders to forge their paths with the skills and values instilled by the University.

As the graduates embarked on their respective journeys, they carried with them the invaluable lessons — a testament to the enduring power of mentorship, perseverance, and the human spirit.
