Twelve Taiwanese students and 2 professors from Minghsin University of Science and Technology (MUST) came to Adamson University to attend the weeklong mobility program from November 18 to 24, 2018. They engaged in several activities, including English proficiency sessions, exchange lecture, English enhancement activity, tour of Fort Santiago, the National Museum and Adamson University Museum, tour of Electrical Engineering laboratory and electrical engineering experiment, tour of the Central Bank of the Philippines, and a socioeconomic tourism trip to the south of Manila.

The visitors highly appreciated the learning experiences gained from the program activities, which sought to enhance personal and intellectual maturity by inculcating cross-cultural communication skills, as well as, the ability to adapt to new circumstances.

The Taiwanese students’ written evaluation indicated, among others, how the program has satisfied their quest for opportunity to know different perspectives in their academic subjects.

The Office for University Relations (OUR) and the Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs organized a team to ensure the successful implementation of the weeklong student mobility program. The team included the Center for Language Learning, the Electrical Engineering Department, the Finance and Economics Department, the Physical Facilities and General Services and the Office for Campus Security and Safety.

In reference to the visit, OUR director Sr. Maruja Padre Juan, MSCS, remarked that “hosting inbound student mobility activities contributes to the internationalization of the university. It adds energy to the cultural diversity that Adamson University enjoys with its population of international students coming from 32 different countries around the world.”
