The Miraculous Medal, gifted by the Blessed Mother Mary through her apparition to Saint Catherine Laboure, promises abundant graces and blessings to those who wear it with faith and devotion. Many prayers have been answered, and lives transformed as this devotion deepens within communities.
Dr. Pamela B. Mantuhac, Director of the Office for Vincentian Identity and Mission, has played a key role in spreading the devotion to the Miraculous Medal, which she believes serves as a constant reminder of Mary's loving presence. For her, the Medal is more than a symbol; it deepens her connection with Mary, bringing daily blessings and inspiration.
“She is Mama. Mary is my spiritual mother. I always have my Medal with me. Wherever I am, whatever decisions I make, I always ask for Mama’s guidance. It’s not uncommon for me to whisper fervently, “Ma, help me. Intercede for me.”
Currently assisting the International Director of the Association of the Miraculous Medal, Ms. Pam’s devotion to Our Lady inspired her to join the Children of Mary - Vincentian Marian Youth at just 13 years old. She later dedicated three years as a volunteer at the VMY International Secretariat.

The selfless love portrayed by the Blessed Mother, has also helped Ms. Pam to mirror that love in her passion, serving with understanding and benevolence to those seeking it.
"I usually have spare medals and give [them out] wherever I go, be it in the mission areas or just in my daily commute. I never tire of sharing the Miraculous Medal story and the many miracles that we have experienced. Beyond the mere symbol, it is my fervent hope that anyone who wears it may see the Medal as a constant reminder of kindness and courage.”
Her deep connection with the Miraculous Medal and St. Vincent de Paul serves as a firm foundation for her divine purpose: enriching Christian faith within communities. With a humble heart, she navigates the spirit of charity through missions where she leads in extending a compassionate hand to the socially disadvantaged and the most in need.
The Miraculous Medal has continued to help Ms. Pam see Christ and the Blessed Mother in the faces of the poor, inspiring her to respond with kindness and generosity to those in need.
