Shooting woes proved to be costly for the Soaring Falcons as the team’s inability to convert from beyond the arc led them to a 54-58 defeat against National University in the UAAP 85 men’s basketball tournament held last October 15 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
Adamson posted a measly 8% shooting from three, converting only two from their 24 attempts.
It was a dogfight the whole game as Adamson and NU traded runs throughout the first three frames.
NU then built a 10-point lead in the final canto punctuated by a Kean Baclaan triple.

Adamson mounted a 9-1 run to answer their foes and continue cutting down the lead of their foes from Jhocson.
Another three from Jerom Lastimosa further closed the deficit to 54-57, but it was not enough as free throws from Baby Falcon-turned-Bulldog Jake Figueroa shut the doors on his former squad.
Cedrick Manzano led the Falcons with 12 points and eight rebounds, while Lastimosa tallied 11 markers and six assists but gave the ball away eight times.
Vince Magbuhos, who carried the scoring load in their previous game, was limited to two points on 1-of-11 shooting.
Adamson will try to arrest their fall against the Ateneo Blue Eagles on October 19 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
