The University officially launched the Adamson Center for Executive Studies (ACES) on June 20 at the Co Po Ty Audiovisual Room, introducing a purpose-driven leadership development platform designed to shape future-ready professionals in business, technology, and governance.
Carrying the theme “Leading with Purpose: Innovating for a Sustainable Future,” the launch event gathered executives, educators, policymakers, and institutional partners across sectors, affirming Adamson’s commitment to Vincentian values, inclusive innovation, and industry collaboration.

University President Rev. Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM delivered the welcome remarks, calling on leaders to be both competent and compassionate.
“In a world shaped by volatility, complexity, and rapid change, traditional boundaries in education are no longer enough. ACES exists because we believe that education must evolve faster than the world it prepares learners for,” he said.
“We must shape not just professionals, but purpose-driven leaders with character and compassionate hearts.”

Ms. Tina Nepomuceno Di Cicco, an Ozanam Scholar and AB Political Science alumna (Class of 1982) served as the event’s Keynote Speaker. Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Rosula Reyes responded by affirming ACES as a timely and transformative endeavor aligned with the university’s Vincentian mission.
A highlight of the evening was a talk by Mr. Victor Fernando R. Ocampo, who discussed “Future Casting” and its importance in anticipating global trends, fostering innovation, and enabling resilient organizational leadership.
The program also featured the ceremonial signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Adamson University and key institutional partners, witnessed by university officials. This was followed by a toast led by the ACES Director Marcelino Jr Navera Lizaso, marking the official launch of the center.
“What sets ACES apart is our focus on Future Readiness coupled with Action Learning. We intend to achieve this through an inclusive, dynamic, and adaptive Trainer Network as co-creators with industry,” he said in a separate statement, describing the ACES.

The event was attended by representatives from government agencies, industry, and higher education institutions.
Following its launch, ACES released a wide range of executive short courses and programs offered in partnership with Adamson’s academic units and external organizations, with initial course offerings specified at the University website.
