Adamson University has officially earned a spot in the 2026 Quacquarelli-Symonds (QS) World University Rankings, placing within the 1001–1200 bracket, a historic first for the institution.
This feat makes Adamson one of only six higher education institutions (HEIs) from the Philippines to be included in this year’s global list, marking the university’s growing presence in the international higher education academic community.
The global milestone comes on the heels of Adamson’s strong performance in the QS Asia University Rankings 2025, where the university placed in the 411–420 bracket, ranked 71st in Southeast Asia, and emerged as the 5th highest-ranked university in the Philippines.
University President Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario, CM expressed his gratitude and optimism for what the recognition means for the Adamson community.
“This recognition is not so much a badge of honor as a humble validation of the hard work and collective effort of our faculty, staff, administrators, students, and alumni. It is a responsibility for us to continuously elevate our educational standards while remaining faithful to our Vincentian mission of service and transformative education,” he said.
“To be included in the QS World Rankings leads us to be more resolved to make Adamson contribute more to global education. It is a sign that our mission to serve the people at the margins through quality education is relevant beyond our national borders. Vincentian education has tried its best to form mature professionals in competence, character and charity.”
Fr. Pilario also underscored the importance of staying grounded as the university embraces a wider stage.
“This moment should inspire us to move forward with a more determined purpose. Our global visibility should lead to deeper commitment to doing research that uplifts communities at the margins, to instruction that produces compassionate professionals, and to partnerships that make education more open, inclusive and collaborative.”
The QS World University Rankings, compiled annually by Quacquarelli Symonds, is one of the most respected global ranking systems. It assesses academic institutions worldwide based on academic reputation, employer reputation, faculty-student ratio, internationalization, and research impact through citations per faculty, and is widely used in measuring the global competitiveness of higher education institutions.
For Adamson University, inclusion in the 2026 QS World Rankings serves as a symbol of its expanding academic reach and a springboard for broader engagement in the global educational landscape. The feat opens opportunities for stronger international collaboration, student mobility, faculty exchange, and academic benchmarking.
The milestone also affirms Adamson’s place in the evolving narrative of global higher education that it continues to take part in with purpose, faith, and excellence.
