Adamson University once again became a dynamic hub of innovation as the Technopreneurship Summit 2025 took place on May 9, 2025, at the University theatre.

Featuring the theme “Unleashing the Future – Empowering the Next Generation of Vincentian Global Technopreneurs,” the event equipped the participants with the knowledge, skills and connections that are necessary to navigate the evolving landscape of technology and entrepreneurship.

The collaboration among the Adamson University Neo Science and Technology Incubation Center (AdUNEST INC), the Strategic and Collaborative Alliance for Leveraging the Ecosystem of Startups (SCALE NCR), the Department of Science and Technology – Philippine Council for Industry, Energy, and Emerging Technology Research and Development (DOST-PCIEERD) and DOST-NCR made this annual capacity-building summit a success.

University President Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario, CM welcomed alumni, students, and guests in his opening remarks, also honoring the fulfillment of the founding president George Lucas Adamson’s vision of bridging the gap between theory and practice in Adamson education.

“Our projects should always respond to the real-life challenges experienced by the community around us,” Fr. Pilario reminded.

Science & Technology and startup leaders, namely DOST NCR Regional Director Dir. Romelen Tresvalles, SCALE NCR Project Officer Mr. Thomas De Leon, Round One Co-Founder Charmaine Co, and Adamson’s Technology Business Incubation Office Head Engr. Ian Charl Nico V. Tubban, shared insights on innovation, technology, and networking to guide aspiring entrepreneurs in turning ideas into impactful projects.

“We all started as startups; the business may or may not be for you, but it is significant that you tried,” said Ms. Co.

A fireside chat moderated by AdUNEST INC’s Marketing and Partnership Officer Joseph Halili addressed common challenges innovators face, such as finding support to fund and validate their ideas, followed by a Q&A where speakers and participants discussed startup readiness, overcoming fears, and managing risks.

Event highlights included project presentations and the ceremonial signing of the Memorandum of Agreement for AdUNEST INC’s newest cohort of incubatees, particularly The Hatch 2025 winner, Magic Acid — a safer, more affordable alternative to muriatic acid.

The summit also featured other innovative projects such as Pawnec, a smart e-health ID for pets; Selyo, a platform for tokenizing social interactions; and Mindlock, a brainwave-based authentication system using Convolutional Neural Networks and Support Vector Machines — all reflecting a shared commitment to turning ideas into real-world solutions.

As the event ended, the university’s Center for Technology Innovation and Commercialization OIC Engr. Noe D. Enriquez delivered a closing remarks, emphasizing the Vincentians’ collective mission to become global technopreneurs rooted in compassion and excellence.
