Adamson University strengthened its civic engagement efforts as it formalized partnerships with two major media institutions in support of national campaigns aimed at educating the youth on responsible voting and informed decision-making for the 2025 midterm elections.
The University signed a Memorandum of Agreement with Manila Bulletin for the broadsheet newspaper’s #MatalinongBoto2025: Balitang Tapat para sa Payapang Halalan campaign earlier today.
The signing was led by Communication Department Chairperson Mr. Glenn Ace Parungao and Manila Bulletin Executive Editor Pinky Colmenares, with MB Brand and Marketing Manager Leslie Araujo and reporter Argyll Geducos in attendance. Mr. Geducos is also an instructor at AdU’s Communication program.
The campaign seeks to raise awareness among young voters about the importance of truthful reporting, vigilance against disinformation and election-related violence, and upholding peace and integrity during the election season.
Meanwhile, the University is also among the academic partners for The Philippine Star’s “The Interviewer Presents: The 2025 Senatorial Interviews,” hosted by broadcast personality Boy Abunda.
The series, streamed from May 5 to 9 at 12 noon and 6 p.m., features senatorial candidates responding to key national issues.
It is available on the official social media platforms of Adamson University, José Rizal University, Philippine Women’s University, The Philippine Star and Abunda’s digital channels.
