Adamson University was honored with the “Platinum Award” by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) during the ITSO Presidents’ Summit and General Assembly held April 10.
The award is given to Innovation and Technology Support Offices (ITSOs) that have consistently met or exceeded IPOPHL’s performance benchmarks in patent services and research commercialization, specifically accomplishing more than six patent applications, and the commercialization of intellectual property.

The recognition, now given to AdU for the third straight year, highlights its position as one of the country's leading institutions in promoting a culture of innovation and intellectual property protection.
Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM, University President, received the award alongside Ms. Anna Ramos, Director of AdU’s ITSO, and Engr. Eduardo T. Balmaceda, Jr., one of the university’s key innovation advocates.
The Platinum Award is IPOPHL’s highest recognition for ITSOs, solidifying Adamson’s commitment to fostering inventive thinking, streamlining patent processes, and translating research into commercially viable products – a nod to the university's long-term goal to contribute significantly to national development through research and innovation.
Adamson's ITSO has been an active player in the innovation landscape since its establishment, previously earning similar recognitions in past ITSO Cluster Assemblies. The office has led numerous initiatives to capacitate faculty and student researchers on IP awareness, filing strategies and technology transfer mechanisms.
