The Lady Falcons had a golden opportunity to steal the second set after building a 20-16 lead, but NU’s championship experience shone through, as Alyssa Solomon and Vange Alinsug sparked a comeback to take the set 25-23.
Shaina Nitura, continued to be Adamson’s top offensive threat despite being limited to 13 points as she struggled to find her rhythm with a 9-of-49 attacking efficiency. Meanwhile, Nigerian middle blocker Frances Mordi also chipped in 13 points in the loss.
The Lady Falcons will face University of the Philippines on Sunday, March 16, at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Cubao.
