The event advocated for a collaborative effort to promote sustainability and energy conservation.

National Museum-Facilities and Management Division (FMD) Officer and Zero Carbon Footprint Chair Ar. Roy Benedict Bautista, a distinguished alumnus of Adamson University, along with GreenAP Chair and Adamson College of Architecture Dean Ar./EnP. Sylvester Seño, and UAP Manila Maynilad Chapter President Ar. Jaizamaeruth Sabayton Sayson-Aguilar, also an Adamson alumna spearheaded the event.

The celebration featured a hybrid capability-building seminar at the National Museum of Fine Arts and a face-to-face green building tour at the PGBI GREEEN-certified National Museum of Natural History.

National Museum FMD employees, UAP Manila Maynilad members, and Adamson University representatives from the Physical Facilities and General Services Office (PFGSO), College of Architecture, and GreenAP attended the event.

Key discussions included presentations by Chair Ar. Seño on historic buildings retrofitting towards energy efficiency, GreenAP Deputy Chair for Programs and Planning Ar. Freddy Bautista on net zero for museums, and Mx. Vittoro Leif Santos of the Department of Energy (DOE), representing Dr. Daniel Collin Jornales, on best practices in conserving water and energy resources in government settings.

This initiative aligns with Adamson University’s Eco-Falcon: Five-Year Campus Sustainability Plan and its commitment to Laudato Si, the Vatican’s environmental mandate.
