CpE secures Utility Model Patent for Composting Monitoring System

Adamson’s Computer Engineering Department achieved another milestone after it successfully secured a Utility Model Patent for its innovative project, “Composting Monitoring and Notification System and Methods Thereof.”

The Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPO) officially granted the patent under Registration No. 2/2022/051423 on February 5, 2025, with a validity term until August 8, 2029.
CpE chairperson Engr. Yolanda Austria, faculty member Engr. Dylan Josh Lopez, and students Alyana Alog, Keziah Angelica Ammamio, Jene Reine Borejon, and James Russel Padua, with guidance from faculty researchers from the Computer Engineering Department.
CpE’s newly acquired patent recognizes the ingenuity and technical expertise of the Adamsonian team in developing a system that enhances composting monitoring and automation, contributing to sustainability efforts and technological advancements in waste management.
