Adamson University continues to strengthen its position as a hub for technological innovation as the Mechanical Engineering Department successfully secured three industrial design registrations from the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).

The newly registered designs include a Vehicle Body, developed by Joshua Miguel Ponce, Chanz Ferrer, Alvin Patrick Alegria, and Eisley John Tiongson; a Drone Body, designed by Yvan Andrei Lomibao, Jocel Ivan Ochava, Adrian Miguel Valencia, and Lester Alfred Olasiman; and a Vehicle Chassis, created by Mark Louie Cabasa, Carlos Gener Escober, Joseph Merced, and Eisley John Tiongson.

Publication dates were set on October 9, 2024.

The said registrations grant Adamson University exclusive rights to the designs, preventing unauthorized reproduction and ensuring their protection under Philippine law.

The Innovation & Technology Support Office (ITSO) played a crucial role in guiding and facilitating the registration process, reinforcing the university’s commitment to fostering research, development, and industry collaboration.

In securing the patents, AdU exhibits its dedication to advancing engineering education, protecting intellectual property, and equipping students with the skills to drive technological progress.
