Adamson forges partnership with Taiwan’s Providence University

Adamson University has taken another significant step toward global academic engagement by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Providence University, Taiwan last December 4.

The partnership facilitated by the Office for University Relations aims to promote academic excellence, innovation, and cultural exchange, underscoring both institutions' commitment to holistic development and shared values.

Providence University, one of the few Christian universities in Taiwan, aligns seamlessly with Adamson University’s Vincentian mission of fostering education anchored in faith and service, reflecting a shared vision to advance education that transcends borders, focusing on nurturing globally competent and socially responsible individuals.

The ceremonial signing was attended by Providence University’s President, Dr. Lucia Shih-Ling Lin, along with three senior officials. Adamson University President Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM, and other key university representatives, meanwhile, welcomed the guests.

Adding a special touch to the ceremony, Adamson’s international students captivated the delegation from Providence University with a heartfelt rendition of the iconic song "We Are the World."

Representing the university’s diverse international student community, the performers hailing from China, India, the United States of America, East Timor, Nigeria, and Somalia, showcased the vibrant multicultural spirit of Adamson University.

The MOU paves the way for collaborative endeavors, including student and faculty exchanges, joint research projects, and the creation of innovative academic programs. It symbolizes the mutual aspiration of both institutions to enrich their educational offerings and contribute to the global advancement of higher education.

This new alliance strengthens Adamson University’s position as a hub of academic collaboration and reinforces its commitment to fostering meaningful international partnerships.
