"Kung talagang mahirap at kailangan nyong makausap ang presidente, you have a direct line to the President. Kahit hindi pa kayo nakapag-appointment, you can come and pass by my office."

This is what University President Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM, declared during a powerful World Mental Health Day event at Adamson University last October 10.

This heartfelt message emphasized the accessibility of mental health support for everyone in the Adamson community, which Fr. Pilario reminded every participant, citing the availability of services from the Center for Guidance, Counseling, Testing, and Placement Services, and the presence of Recognized School Organizations such as AdU-CARES.

In solidarity with this important day, the university’s iconic Saint Vincent (SV) Building façade was illuminated in blue, drawing attention to the significance of mental health awareness. The Adamson University Student Government spearheaded this initiative, uniting students, faculty, and staff in a shared commitment to mental well-being. A parade around the campus kicked off the program, setting a tone of camaraderie and support.

"Anyone in the University should be willing and ready to listen to someone who may find life difficult," Fr. Pilario furthered, underscoring the collective responsibility of the University to offer a listening ear to those in need.
