Win number two in the UAAP 87 Junior High Basketball Tournament remained elusive for the Adamson junior hoopers as they fell short of knocking off National University-Nazareth School, 64-76, last October 13 at the Smart Araneta Coliseum.

The first quarter was a close clash as both teams held tight on their defenses and stiffened their offensive side to maintain a close contest and seal the scores at 18-all. However, the second quarter proved tough for the Baby Falcons as the Bullpups found their groove.

The Alex Barrera-mentored crew set up a late rally in the third canto, drilling back-to-back points from Edison Jordan, who showed grit to keep his team afloat at 53-55.

But the youngsters from San Marcelino could not hold back NSNU’s hot shooting in the final stretch steered by Nick Pena, eventually succumbing to their foes and absorbing their eighth loss of the season.

Edison delivered an all-around performance, pacing Adamson with 21 markers, five steals, and seven rebounds.

The Baby Falcons will look to bounce back as they face De La Salle Santiago Zobel School on October 23 at the Mall of Asia Arena.
