Adamson hands FEU-D first loss in UAAP 87 girls’ volley

Adamson's Baby Lady Falcons is back on the winning column handing erstwhile undefeated FEU-Diliman its first defeat, 25-22, 24-26, 25-18, 25-17, in the UAAP 87 Girls' Volleyball Tournament held at the Paco Arena, October 6.
The first two sets were closely contested with both teams exchanging strong attacks, before the young Lady Falcons took control of the third and fourth frames.
Leading 19-14 in the fourth set, the San Marcelino-based squad uncorked a four-point barrage to increase their lead, 23-14 before an error from FEU-D eventually handed Adamson the victory.
In the post-game interview, head coach JP Yude emphasized how proud he is of his team but also emphasized his focus on the team’s composure and capability of turning in a storing finish, recalling their previous setback against National University.
Sam Cantanda turned in another big performance, scoring 15 points from 12 attacks, two aces and a block. Lhouriz Tuddao and Janessa Buhay also added 14 and 13 markers, respectively.
