Kemi Adeshina’s standout performance was not enough to secure a victory for Adamson against spotless National University, 52-74, in the UAAP 87 Women’s Basketball Tournament on September 25 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.

The loss marks another setback for Adamson, sending their record to 3-2, which is good puts them in the middle of the tournament rankings.

The first half was a tightly contested affair with Adamson down 27-33. NU, though, pulled away in the third quarter with a 15-2 run, blowing the game wide open, 48-29.

The Jhocson-based team never looked back as Adamson’s defense struggled to contain the NU offense headed by Angel Surada and Camille Clarin

Adeshina tallied a 21-point, 10-rebound double-double for the Lady Falcons, while Cris Padilla and Elaine Etang added 10 points each.

Adamson will try to get back to their winning ways as they go against University of the Philippines this September 28 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.
