Dominance continues to be the name of the game for the Baby Falcon Spikers as they sweep Ateneo de Manila University, 25-10, 25-14, 25-14, in the UAAP 87 Boys’ Volleyball Tournament held on September 18 at the Paco Arena.

Adamson overwhelmed their foes from Katipunan, scoring off 37 attacks against Ateneo’s 11. The Marvin Ramoso-mentored team also registered five blocks and nine service aces for the game.

With the score at 2-1 early in the third set, Adamson uncorked a 7-0 blast to push the gap to eight, 9-1.

Ateneo tried to respond with three straight points only to be countered by the San Marcelino-based squad with its own 4-0 blast. The Falcons then followed it up with another 6-0 run to build a 20-8 advantage.

The Blue Eagles gave one final hurrah, saving three match points before bowing to the Baby Falcons’ attacking prowess.

Jims Ducusin led the Baby Falcons with 12 points, while Neil Tobias tallied 11. Brice Malinao added nine markers bannered by three service aces and 11 excellent receptions.

Adamson will try to extend their winning streak to three when they go up against reigning champions, National University-Nazareth School this September 21, 11am, at Paco Arena.
