Adamson University and Biliran Province State University (BiPSU) completed a new academic partnership with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on September 16.
The agreement, finalized at AdU’s Office of the President Conference Room, aims to enhance educational and cultural exchange between the two institutions.
AdU President Fr. Daniel Franklin E. Pilario, CM, and BiPSU President Dr. Victor C. Cañezo, Jr., sealed the agreement, focusing on collaborative efforts between the two universities' engineering schools and other academic areas.
Its provisions include faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects, and academic seminars.
Under the MOU, the universities will explore initiatives such as having AdU faculty participate as part-time instructors at BiPSU and hosting graduate programs in engineering at BiPSU.
The agreement also addresses intellectual property rights, ensuring joint ownership of research outcomes, and offers flexibility for tailored programs and activities, with both universities committing to support and provide accommodation for visiting faculty and students.
AdU College of Engineering Dean Dr. Merlinda Palencia, along with various department chairpersons, as well as BiPSU School of Engineering Dean Engr. Vivencio Pelesco were also present at the momentous event.
