The Baby Falcons faced a tough start to their UAAP 87 campaign, falling 55-81 to last season’s finalists, Far Eastern University (FEU)-Diliman, on opening day of the Junior High School Basketball Tournament this September 8 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
The Baby Falcons, looking to improve from last year’s winless season, struggled to keep pace with the Baby Tamaraws who are on a redemption mission after a heartbreaking loss in last season’s finals.
FEU’s offense saw four players scoring in double digits.
Despite the loss, Edison Jordan provided a bright spot for the Baby Falcons, leading the team with 13 points.
The Alex Barrera-mentored Falcons will aim to regroup and bounce back as the season progresses, but they face a challenging journey ahead as they work to improve from last season’s struggles.
They next face De La Salle University this September 11 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
