Adamson University has appointed Raffy Mosuela as the new head coach of the Soaring Falcons Men’s Volleyball Team, starting a new era in San Marcelino.
He replaces George Pascua, who tendered his resignation after two seasons.
Mosuela, known for his successful stint with the UE Boys’ Volleyball Team last UAAP 86, is poised to bring a fresh perspective to the Falcons as they prepare for the upcoming season.
Last season, Mosuela led the Junior Warriors to the finals, triumphing over then-defending champions FEU-Diliman in a thrilling semi-final clash before falling to Nazareth School of National University in the finals.
He also steered the Recto-based squad to a tournament-leading 11-1 record in the same season.
During his playing career, the former San Sebastian College-Recoletos standout was named the Philippine SuperLiga (PSL) 2014 Best Libero while playing for the PLDT franchise.
As a coach in the pros, he held the interim head coach position for the Akari Chargers and currently serves as an assistant coach for the Nxled Chameleons.
Mosuela has been actively training the Adamson squad for a month already, gearing them up for what promises to be a promising UAAP 87 campaign after finishing with a 4-10 record in the previous season.
