Former UAAP high school sensation Henjz Gabriel “Kobe” Demisana is set to join the Adamson Soaring Falcons.
The 6-foot-8 mobile big man, who made waves with the UP Integrated School (UPIS) before committing to the Ateneo Blue Eagles, will now be taking his talents to San Marcelino under the guidance of coach Nash Racela.
Demisana, a standout performer in high school basketball, was a key figure in the UAAP high school division. He was named to the Mythical five after an impressive season in which he averaged 17.6 points, 12.6 rebounds, 4.1 blocks, 2.6 assists, and 2.1 steals per game.
The performance caught Ateneo's eye, leading to his commitment in 2023. However, despite his potential, Demisana’s time with the Blue Eagles was less than expected after only playing for the Katipunan-based squad in pre-season games.
Demisana was also part of the Gilas Pilipinas Youth program that bannered the Philippines in the FIBA Under-18 Championship in 2022, averaging 4.2 points and three rebounds in six games.
According to multiple reports, the 19-year-old product of Bacolod Tay Tung High School decided to join Adamson, viewing it as the ideal environment for his growth as a basketball player. At present, Adamson has a thin frontline composed of Cedrick Manzano, Mario Barasi, and one foreign student-athlete, OJ Ojarikre or Alou Gaye.
With his move to the Soaring Falcons, Demisana must complete a year of residency before making his debut in the UAAP 88.
