The Congregation of the Mission Philippine Province has shown its oneness with the incoming 400th Founding Anniversary of the congregation next year.
This was shown with numerous events across the San Vicente de Paul Parish – Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of the Miraculous Medal compound and Adamson University campus.
A blessing of the Miraculous Medal Association Office, Vincentian-Marian Youth (VMY) International Secretariat Office at the Vincentian Central House in San Marcelino kickstarted the series of events.
The community chapel of Vincentians in the Central House was also consecrated during the ceremony.
This rite, officiated by Fr. Tomaz Mavric, CM, Superior General of the Congregation of the Mission, saw attendance from international delegates representing various Vincentian organizations, including VMY President Patricia Roppa from Peru, Daughters of Charity Councilor General Sr. Anna Wiwiek, HDC of Indonesia, and VMY Director-General Francisco Nicolas Magnaye, CM.
The top officials of Vincentian Family organizations were also with the regional councilors and delegates.
Later in the day, the focus shifted to Adamson University for the inauguration of the new Meralco Annex Building.
This 13-story facility is expected to house the College of Architecture, the newly minted College of Computing and Information Technology, a hotel, dormitories, a state-of-the-art library, and new sports facilities.
The inauguration marks a significant milestone in Adamson University's 92-year history, underscoring its commitment to providing modern facilities and enhancing the educational experience for its students.
The official launch of the 400th Founding Anniversary of the Congregation of the Mission then followed, beginning with the celebration of the Holy Eucharistic presided by Fr. Mavric, joined by the CM-Philippines clergy headed by their Provincial Visitor Fr. Peter Solis, CM.
The official CM 400-years logo was unveiled during the ceremony, symbolizing the Vincentian community's four centuries of dedicated service and spiritual growth.
In his homily, Fr. Mavric reflected on St. Vincent de Paul's legacy and the Congregation's mission, emphasizing the importance of holistic human development, spirituality, and service.
He also highlighted the Congregation’s continued commitment to its foundational values and its vision for the future.
