Adamson celebrates Class of 2024 in 86th Commencement Exercises

Adamson University marked the culmination of nearly 1,700 Adamsonians' collegiate journeys during its 86th Commencement Exercises, held at the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC) Plenary Hall on July 19.
The ceremonies co-hosted by the College of Architecture and the College of Science featured two sessions that included moving speeches, heartfelt reflections from the graduating class, and the candidates' official graduation rites.
885 graduates from various faculties, including the Graduate School and the Colleges of Architecture, Engineering, Education and Liberal Arts, and Nursing, attended the morning session.
The proceedings commenced with a Baccalaureate Mass led by Fr. Rex Fortes, CM, Director of Saint Vincent School of Theology Research and Publication and Coordinator of KULeuven-SVST Adamson Cooperation.
A pre-recorded inspirational message from Commission on Higher Education Secretary J. Prospero de Vera was played before the commencement rites, encouraging the graduates.
The address of petition was delivered by Audra Claire Masongsong, Bachelor of Arts in Communication (Summa Cum Laude), who eloquently represented her peers. Masongsong stated.
The commencement speaker for the morning session was Ar. Marietta Bundalian-Segovia, Principal Architect and General Manager of MB Segovia Design Studio. Her address, focused on the importance of vision and perseverance, captivated the audience.
"Every project presents a new opportunity to learn and grow," Ar. Bundalian-Segovia remarked, emphasizing the need for ongoing professional development.
The morning session concluded with an address of thanks from Isabella Leigh Tabudlong, Bachelor of Arts in Political Science (Summa Cum Laude), who expressed gratitude on behalf of her fellow graduates.
Meanwhile, the afternoon session honored 841 graduates from the Colleges of Law, Pharmacy, Business Administration, and Science. Like the morning session, Fr. Fortes conducted the Baccalaureate Mass.
Abigail Mateo, Bachelor of Science in Accountancy (Summa Cum Laude), gave the address of petition, followed by Ms. Gloria Lopez, President and Managing Director of Eurofins Scientific Services Philippines, Inc., who delivered the commencement speech.
Her message, which emphasized the values of integrity and dedication, resonated deeply with the graduates.
“[K]eep questioning our ideas, our motivations, our goals, to keep our lives and careers worthwhile," Lopez highlighted.
The day’s events were rounded off by an address of thanks from Charleswin Bo, Bachelor of Science in Information Technology (Summa Cum Laude), who conveyed heartfelt appreciation to the faculty, family, and friends who supported the graduates throughout their academic journey.
Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario, CM, President of Adamson University, conferred the degrees to the candidates, while Assoc. Prof. Emilia Vicencio, the University Registrar, presented the degree candidates.
Engr. Ricardo Araneta, Member of the Board of Directors of the Adamson University Alumni Association, Inc., administered the alumni oathtaking, marking the transition of the graduates from students to proud alumni.
