The newly retooled Soaring Falcons showed progress in their play, finishing with twin silver medals in two pre-season tournaments.

Adamson capped off the 2024 ANTA Asiabasket International Championship in second place after succumbing to National University, 73-64, last July 16 at the Enderun College Gym in Taguig.

The San Marcelino-based squad and the Bulldogs finished their eliminations campaign with similar 4-0 records before disposing their respective foes en route to the final dance.

Adamson tallied dominant performances over the FEU Tamaraws and NCAA 99 finalists San Beda Red Lions and Mapua Cardinals. They then ruled Phenom Blue Fire in the quarters before escaping the De La Salle – College of Saint Benilde Blazers 74-73 in the semis.

AJ Fransman, one of the newest Falcons in the nest, was hailed as a Mythical Five member with 11-point, 4.7-rebound, and 1.3-assist averages per outing. Fransman, a former standout for the Enderun Titans, adds more versatility in the wing position for the Soaring Falcons, which currently has Joshua Yerro and John Calisay.

Another Soaring Falcon team also bagged a bridesmaid finish in the Sulit Breakdown Basketball Invitationals after falling to Manila Central University, 46-49, at the Moro Lorenzo Sports Center in Quezon City on July 21.

The Nash Racela-coached team was down big at the half, with the score at 23-39, but were able to stage a huge comeback and bring the lead down to just a solitary point, 46-47.

The Falcons, missing their core players Mathew Montebon, Matty Erolon, AJ Fransman, and Cedrick Manzano, failed to close out their foes.

Transferees Cade and Austine Ronzone, Royce Mantua, along with Gian Sicat, Kenji Canete and Allen Ignacio bannered the Falcons in the said tournament.
