Eng’g-based group Kalasag preps for Indonesia eco-marathon

Adamson’s engineering prowess is once again set to shine on the global stage as its Kalasag team composed of students from the College of Engineering prepares to compete in the prestigious Shell Eco-marathon Asia-Pacific and Middle East 2024.
As of its last update, the team has successfully cleared a third technical inspection, securing its spot as one of the Prototype entries representing the Philippines in this year’s event, to be held in Lombok, Indonesia.
The Shell Eco-marathon, renowned since its inception in 1985, challenges student teams worldwide to design and build ultra-energy-efficient vehicles. This year’s competition emphasizes sustainable innovation in engineering and technology.
Adamson Kalasag joins a cohort of seven Philippine teams from institutions that also includes Polytechnic University of the Philippines, Mapua University, De La Salle University Manila, Jose Rizal University, University of Mindanao and Xavier University – Ateneo de Cagayan.
