Adamson’s Lady Falcons program showed that it remains one of the top collegiate programs in the country after producing most of the first-round selections in the inaugural Premier Volleyball League (PVL) draft held July 8.

UAAP 86 skipper Lucille Almonte led the way for the girls from San Marcelino after being selected fifth overall by the Nxled Chameleons.

Following closely, attacker Ishie Lalongisip was chosen seventh by the Cignal HD Spikers, while setter Angelica Alcantara was picked eighth by the PLDT High Speed Hitters.

Karen Verdeflor will bring her talents to the Chery Tiggo Crossovers as the ninth overall pick. AA Adolfo, selected immediately after Verdeflor, will don the red jersey of the Petro Gazz Angels.

In the second round, middle blocker Shar Ancheta was picked by the ZUS Coffee Thunderbelles as their first choice, followed by veteran setter Nikka Yandoc in the third round.

The strong presence of Adamson alumni in the PVL draft underscores the University's topnotch volleyball program and its commitment to developing athletes who are ready to compete at the professional level.
