Adamson proved that their conquest of UAAP 86 was as real as it gets, this time defeating Bacolod Tay Tung College in straight sets, 25-20, 25-5, 25-22, to capture the 2024 Shakey’s Girls Volleyball Invitational League championship at their home court, June 8.

In a stellar performance, Abegail Segui and Lhouriz Tuddao were pivotal in the third frame, securing the win despite Bacolod Tay Tung’s spirited efforts to extend the match. Reigning UAAP Girls Volleyball MVP Shaina Nitura also played a crucial role, ensuring the Lady Baby Falcons maintained their composure and completed an undefeated run in the tournament.

Tuddao led the scoring with 11 points, showcasing her prowess at the net with five kill blocks, supplemented by four attacks and two aces. Her performance was instrumental in Adamson’s triumph, which marks their second title this year.

Meanwhile, Nitura and Segui each contributed 10 points for Adamson.

Despite the lopsided second set, Bacolod Tay Tung proved to be a formidable opponent, challenging Adamson throughout the match.

The Lady Baby Falcons were also recognized individually for their exceptional performances:  Nitura was named MVP, Felicity Sagaysay received the Best Setter award, Tuddao was honored as the 1st Best Middle Blocker, Samantha Cantada was awarded 2nd Best Outside Hitter, and Segui took home the Best Opposite Hitter title.
