Arki studes excel in national design tilt

Students from the University’s Architecture program bagged twin accolades at the ArchiNEXT: HCG Young Designer’s Competition 2024 held April 19 at the SMX Convention Center.
The event saw two AdU teams securing third and fifth ranks in the contest, showcasing their talent and innovative design skills.
The team of Hurie Christopher Ali, Rob Christian Bato and Andre Austine Borja landed at third place, while Naveen Cheryse Catan and Nadine Rose Pombo turned in an equally notable performance, finishing fifth.
Adjunct professor Ar. Runddy Ramilo served as present mentor for the team, taking over from Ar. Jose Manuel Garcia and Ar. Ramon Bizares.
AdU Arki has consistently bagged rankings in the said competition, placing 5th and 6th from more than 185 entries in 2023, and 5th, 8th and 10th from 152 entries in 2022.
The ArchiNEXT: HCG Young Designer’s Competition organized by Taiwan-based bathroom fixture manufacturer HCG, which has also extended its reach to the Philippines. The contest has become a platform that attracts top talent from architecture schools nationwide.
This year's competition emphasized sustainable and forward-thinking designs, pushing participants to explore new frontiers in architectural innovation.
