The University continues to establish new milestones for academic collaboration, this time solidifying its partnership with Academia Sinica, Taiwan, through the signing of the Student Internship Program Undertaking Agreement last April 30 at the OP Conference Room.
The momentous event featured key figures including the University President, Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario, CM, College of Science Dean Dr. Eleanor Austria and Chemistry Department Chairperson Mrs. Katrina De Paz, along with faculty members, students, and parents.
Under this groundbreaking initiative, eight exceptional students from the BS/MS Biology and Chemistry programs have been selected to participate in a prestigious paid internship program at Academia Sinica's premier research institution to enrich their academic pursuits and expose them to cutting-edge research and global scientific practices.
The selected students will have the privilege of working on their thesis projects under the mentorship of world-renowned scientists from the Institute of Cellular and Organismic Biology and the Institute of Biological Chemistry of the Taiwan institution.
Such hands-on experience, coupled with guidance from esteemed experts, promises to elevate their research skills and broaden their horizons in the scientific field.
