The Lady Falcons' bid for an 11-peat title remains alive as they picked apart University of the Philippines, 15-2, in Game 2 of the UAAP 86 Softball Tournament Finals, held at UP's home field in Diliman, Quezon City, April 13.

Despite facing adversity after their first loss of the season in Game 1, the Lady Falcons wasted no time in asserting their dominance in Game 2, tallying four runs in the opening inning to seize control of the game with designated hitter Jeelyn Pajotal and reigning MVP Glory Alonzo at the helm.

Reflecting on the team's bounce back performance, longtime head coach Ana Santiago emphasized the importance of learning from their mistakes and seizing the opportunity for redemption, while also admitting that the task is not yet finished.

"With the series tied, it's anyone's game again. We just have to stay focused and prepared," Santiago, the concurrent national softball team head coach, said.

Adamson unleashed another barrage to close out their foes in the final inning, almost matching their runs the whole game with seven.

Mary Jane Libaton began the onslaught with a hit that went beyond substitute shortstop Jamm'n Joyce Rasco before AdU’s designated slugger Khrisha Cantor forced her to a crucial error.

Aliza Talisik then loaded the bases after being awarded a base on balls. The San Marcelino-based crew then followed up with succeeding hits en route to leading to the game sealing scoring run.

Libaton had three hits in the game, with two coming in the seventh. MJ Maguad also posted three, while Pajotal added two to their squad’s 20-hit storm.

Game 3 is slated this April 17 at the same venue.
