AdU-ITSO receives second Platinum Award from IPOPHL

Adamson’s Intellectual Property and Technology Support Office (ITSO) received its second Platinum Award, the highest accolade awarded to highly productive technology support office of academic institutions and the industry hailed by the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL).
The award was officially conferred during the President’s Summit Awarding Ceremony held at Dusit Hotel in Makati last March 18.
The said honors meant more than six patent applications, and the commercialization of intellectual property were accomplished by the recipient.
University President Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario, CM, Vice President for Administrative Affairs and ITSO Manager Dr. Venusmar Quevedo and ITSO-Intellectual Property Development Head Ms. Anna Ramos represented the University during the event which proved to be a gathering of minds dedicated to fostering innovation and collaboration with IPOPHL under the theme ITSO: Celebrating Collaboration, Cultivating Innovation.
This year’s summit honored and recognized the efforts of the country’s top tech support personalities and institutions who have demonstrated unwavering dedication to fulfilling the objectives laid out in the ITSO 2.0 Clustering deliverable for 2023.
The Bronze and Silver Awards were awarded to those who demonstrated various services offered by a tech support office, such as foundation courses in intellectual property, patent search services, patent drafting, and prosecution services. The Gold Award, meanwhile, meant the filing of six patent applications.
