University hosts ASAIHL-NCP general assembly

Adamson University served as gracious hosts of the Association of Southeast Asian Institutions of Higher Learning - National Council of the Philippines (ASAIHL-NCP) Annual General Assembly and Election, this morning at the OZ AVR.
The event attended by university administrators from different regions of the country featured former Department of Science and Technology Secretary Prof. Fortunato dela Peña as its keynote speaker.
Reports from the concurrent ASAIHL Treasurer and President followed Prof. dela Peña’s speech.
AdU President Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario, CM, who inherited the ASAIHL presidency from his predecessor, delivered the accomplishment of the group under the stewardship of Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM, where he highlighted that files of the group have almost been fully digitized and will be completed before the official turnover of officers this coming June.
In addition, De La Salle University President Bro. Bernard Oca, FSC, delivered a position paper on DLSU’s stance on Charter Change for the education sector.
Meanwhile, elections of the new Board of Trustees were done online.
The new ASAIHL BOT, which will assume their respective posts two months from now are De La Salle University - Manila, Baliuag University, Misamis University, Philippine Women’s University, University of the East, Jose Rizal University, San Beda University, University of Santo Tomas and Bicol University.
Their term of office will start this June 1, 2024 until May 31, 2026.
