The Lady Falcons showcased their championship form as they orchestrated a 4-1 drubbing of University of the Philippines to open the second round of the UAAP 86 Softball Tournament, March 16, at the UP Diliman Baseball/Softball Field in Quezon City.

Adamson, who are searching for their 11th straight title, asserted their dominance by extending their unbeaten streak to five games.

Though the reigning champions faced an early setback when they fell behind 0-1, they quickly turned the tide with a resilient fightback.

MJ Maguad ignited the momentum by capitalizing on a fielding error from UP shortstop Aila Subaldo to get on base and begin a two-run counter for AdU.

With two outs already in, Rem Herrero, Roma Cruz, and Neomay Mahinay connected on consecutive hits that drove in two runs for the lead.

The Ana Santiago-coached Lady Falcons also secured two more runs in the second and sixth innings to solidify their claim of the match.

Cruz and Mahinay emerged as offensive standouts for Adamson, each tallying two hits on three at-bats. Cruz's clutch performance also included two runs batted in during the pivotal first inning turnaround, showcasing the Lady Falcons' depth and resilience, especially against their UAAP 85 finals foes.
