The Master of Arts in Education and Doctor of Philosophy in Education programs under the College of Education and Liberal Arts received a Level II re-accreditation from the Federation of Accrediting Agencies of the Philippines (FAAP), giving another significant milestone to the college and reaffirming its commitment to topnotch education to educators of the country and abroad.
This also highlights the continuous strife of the college to develop its programs according to the needs and demands of the ever-evolving society.
The re-accreditation process, overseen by the Philippine Association of Colleges and Universities Commission on Accreditation (PACUCOA), is a rigorous evaluation of the academic programs offered by educational institutions.
Having been re-accredited means the said degree programs and the University have demonstrated excellence in such areas, including curriculum development, faculty qualifications, student support services, institutional resources and other facets which fulfilled the requirements set forth by PACUCOA.
CELA Dean Dr. Gliceria Lunag, along with the Graduate School of Education received praises for the feat, which was regarded as a testament to their collective efforts and commitment to providing exceptional education that empowers students according to the mission and vision of the University in providing and instilling the Vincentian brand of education.
The accreditation, valid until June 2028, provides assurance to current and future students that they are receiving an education of the highest caliber—one that is recognized and respected both locally and internationally. It also underscores Adamson University's commitment to continuous improvement and innovation in all aspects of education.
Meanwhile, the Master of Arts in Theology program at the St. Vincent School of Theology attained a Level III re-accreditation.
This achievement marks the first time such accreditation has been granted to a School of Theology in the region, underscoring the institution's dedication to academic excellence and its commitment to advancing theological scholarship.
The accreditation process involves a comprehensive evaluation of various aspects of the academic program, including curriculum design, faculty qualifications, research output, institutional resources and other similar facets which SVST has accomplished.
