The University’s seniors volleyball teams experienced another setback early in their respective UAAP 86 campaigns as both teams fell to National University in separate games held February 28 at the SMART Araneta Coliseum.
Adamson’s men’s volleyball team bowed down to the Jhocson-based team in the morning installment of the tournament, 25-19, 25-27, 25-21, 25-18, for their second defeat in three outings.

The Soaring Falcons fought back from 21-17 down in the second frame as veterans Marc Paulino, Francis Casas, and John Gay took charge to steal the set, 27-25.
The San Marcelino-squad's momentum, though, was quickly pacified as Nikko Almendras and rookie Jade Disquitado connived in the third frame to give the Bulldogs back the advantage, 25-21, before dominating the fourth.
Gay paced the Soaring Falcons with 13 points while Paulino added 12.
The Lady Falcons, meanwhile, suffered a 25-17, 25-20, 25-20 sweep in the Women’s Volleyball Tournament as NU’s Alyssa Solomon and Bella Belen were in full effect throughout the game.
All three frames had the same story with Adamson keeping up with the Lady Bulldogs but eventually falling short late in the set.

May Ann Nuique and AA Adolfo spearheaded the team’s offense with nine points apiece as the JP Yude-mentored squad fell to a 1-2 card.
Both teams aim to bounce back this March 3 against University of the East at the SM Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
