The University’s College of Pharmacy featured its 10th White Coat Ceremony last February 23 at the University Theater with the theme Vincentian Pharmacists: Embracing Innovation, Strengthening Systems, and Building Health Equity.

The said event symbolizes the transition from academic learning to the professional journey for the CoP’s students.

Amid an atmosphere of pride and anticipation, parents and guardians took center stage, adorning the shoulders of students with their respective white coats, signifying the next step of their pharmacy journey.

The ceremony was coupled with the solemn recitation of the Oath of a Pharmacy Student and Pharmacist, underscoring their unwavering dedication to the profession.

Distinguished figures within the university community graced the occasion, with Fr. Rock Joseph Enriquez, CM, Assistant to the Vice President for Academic Affairs, officiating the celebration of the Holy Eucharist to kickstart the event.

Dr. Rosula Reyes, Vice President for Academic Affairs, delivered an opening address, while Fr. Daniel Franklin Pilario, CM, University President, imparted an inspirational message resonating with attendees.

Esteemed guest speakers, Prof. Aleth Therese Dacanay, Ph.D., President of the Philippine Pharmacists Association (PPhA), and Dr. Erwin Rodenas, Anesthesiology Resident at the Department of Health Consortium, inspired the attendees with insightful reflections on the multifaceted roles, responsibilities, and ethical standards inherent to the pharmacy profession. Dr. Rodenas, himself a distinguished alumnus of AdU-CoP, shared personal anecdotes and professional wisdom, inspiring future practitioners.

In her closing remarks, CoP Dean Assoc. Prof. Perlita Crucis reiterated the significance of upholding Adamson University's core values encapsulated in the 3 C's - Competence, Charity, and Character. She emphasized the pivotal role of Pharmacy professionals in ensuring patient-centric, high-quality pharmaceutical care services, thereby contributing to the well-being of the broader community.

The ceremony stands as a commemoration of achievement and a poignant reminder of the enduring commitment of the college to excellence, integrity, and service in the realm of pharmaceutical practice.
