A standout performance from sophomore Manu Anabo lifted the Soaring Falcons to their first win in the PinoyLiga Next Man cUP, scoring a come-from-behind victory over De La Salle - College of Saint Benilde, 83-77, February 4 at the Enderun College Gymnasium in Taguig City.
The shooting guard from the most recent Letran High School championship team drained five triples to post 28 points, to go along with six rebounds, two blocks and a steal, marking his breakout game after his move to San Marcelino last year.
Anabo also showed aggressiveness to go strong to the basket, shooting 12 shots from the free throw line, and converting 11.
Adamson caught fire in the final frame to flip a 58-63 CSB lead to a dub as they banked on six three-point conversions in the quarter to steal the game. The Falcons shot a scorching 60% from beyond the arc, making 15 of their 25 attempts.
Fil-Aussie Noah Pacquiao also turned in a decent outing with 14 markers built on four makes from three, while Kenji Canete tallied 13 points without missing a single shot from the field.
Top recruit AJ Fransman did not suit up for the Falcons but was present in the venue for the San Marcelino-based team.
