The Baby Falcons made quick work of University of the Philippines Integrated School, 77-62, in the second round of eliminations of the UAAP 86 Boys’ Basketball tournament, January 24, at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San City.

Adamson pulled away in the second frame, doubling the quarter total of the Fighting Maroons after ending the first quarter tied at 16, and never looked back.

The Mike Fermin-coached Baby Falcons dominated their foes on the glass, outrebounding UPIS, 45-37, en route to a huge 24-10 disparity in the second-chance points department.

Adamson also had their way in the paint, thrashing the Diliman-based team as they scored 46 points in 71.9% shooting, while limiting their foes to only 12 points off a meager 35.3% field goal percentage.

JC Bonzalida led the San Marcelino-based squad with 17 points off a perfect 7 of 7 shooting from the field, nine rebounds and two blocks.

Vince Reyes also continued his stellar play with a huge 16-point, 13-rebound double-double, while Justine Garcia posted 10 points.

Adamson will close their elimination matchups against fellow Final Four-bound National University-Nazareth School this January 28 at the same venue.
