Adamson's Boys' Basketball team continues to dominate the competition in UAAP 86, securing their 10th victory in 11 games.
The Baby Falcons walloped Ateneo de Manila University, 87-74, January 17 at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
The San Marcelino crew only needs to win their next match to secure a twice-to-beat advantage in the league’s playoffs.
JR Abayon served as this games’ “magic bunot” for Baby Falcons Head Coach Mike Fermin as he led the scoring charge for his team with 17 points.
Mark Esperanza and Vince Reyes also made significant contributions, chipping in 13 and 12 markers, respectively.
Coach Mike Fermin expressed pride in his wards’ feat, lauding them for their resiliency and composure despite their foes converting crucial baskets to cut their lead various times.
"I'm proud of my boys. Sabi ko nga, Ateneo will not give up easily, kita mo dumidikit di ba. Yung maturity nila nandoon na, pero konti pa."
Despite not being at full strength due to an ankle injury sustained earlier in the second round, skipper Justine Garcia showcased his grit by punching in 10 points and dishing out six assists.
Adamson will try to clinch the first twice-to-beat berth in their coming game against De La Salle Zobel this January 21 at the same venue.
