Adamson continues to assert its dominance in the UAAP 86 Boys' Basketball tournament, solidifying its hold on the top spot after a convincing victory over De La Salle Zobel, 83-70, December 9, at the Mall of Asia Arena.

Vince Reyes led the San Marcelino-based squad with 20 points and eight rebounds, while Justine Garcia contributed 14 points and assists to propel their team to its fifth straight win of the season.

Adamson launched a balanced attack in the second frame as the quintet of Reyes, Garcia, Mark Esperanza, Jarl Artango and Jireh Tumaneng scored four points each, while JC Bonzalida and Gabe de Jesus each splashed a three to extend their lead to double digits, 41-29.

Zobel, though, was able to recover in the third quarter through the efforts of Kieffer Alas and Bonn Daja but the Mike Fermin-mentored team had all the answers for every counter-run from the team in green and white.

Reyes saved his best for last, scoring seven markers in the final canto to seal the game for Adamson.

The Baby Falcons flexed their depth, outscoring the Junior Archers 38-24 in bench points as they continue their redemption tour after a bridesmaid finish in Season 85.

Adamson will try to continue their winning ways against UPIS this December 13 at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan City.
