Yulo, Loraña hailed recognized in Siklab Youth Sports Award

Karl Eldrew Yulo and Hussein Perez Loraña were recognized at the 3rd Siklab Youth Sports Award, receiving the prestigious Young Heroes Award and Super Kids Award, respectively.
The gala awards ceremony, organized by the Philippine Sports Commission and the Philippine Olympic Committee (PSC-POC) Media Group, brought together 58 outstanding young athletes from 33 sports.
Ceremonies were held December 4 at the Market! Market! Activity Center, Ayala Malls in Taguig City.
Yulo, an Asian championship junior silver medalist in gymnastics, and Loraña, the UAAP 86 Boys’ Athletics MVP with six gold and a bronze medal, stood out among the talents honored at the event.
The Siklab Youth Sports Award highlighted the achievements of promising athletes who have demonstrated exceptional prowess and commitment to their disciplines. Among the notable awardees were tennis star Alex Eala, muay thai champion Alyssa Kylie Mallari, weightlifting world youth champion Prince Keil Delos Santos, and Southeast Asian Games gold medalists Kira Ellis and Matthew Hermosa.
Adding to his list of accomplishments, Yulo also showcased his gymnastic excellence in the recently concluded JRC Stars Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Thailand.
The younger brother of world-renowned gymnast Carlos Yulo, secured an impressive medal haul, bagging four gold, one silver, and one bronze medals across various categories, including Men's Floor Exercise, Still Rings, Parallel Bars, Vault, Individual All-Around (silver), and Pommel Horse (bronze).
Loraña, on the other hand, also posted four new UAAP records in his UAAP campaign this season.
