Adamson softbelles hailed ASAPHIL Softball double champs

The Adamson Lady Falcons secured double championships at the ASAPHIL-Cebuana Lhuillier National Softball Championship held from November 20 to 26 in Cavite City.  

The batters from San Marcelino ruled the Women's Club Division and Women's Super/Open Division, securing victories against University of Santo Tomas and Polytechnic University of the Philippines, respectively. 

Adamson’s softbelles capped their first title in the competition after posting a 6-1 clincher over UST last November 24, at the Montano Hall Stadium, to annex the Super/Open Division championship. 

April Mae Minanga earned the titles of MVP and Best Pitcher, showcasing her pitching prowess, while Jeelyn Pajotal was recognized for having the Most Stolen Bases. 

Neomay Mahinay also showcased her hitting prowess after being hailed as the division’s Best Hitter and Best Slugger. 

Remellie Herrero, on the other hand, was featured for having the most home runs, while Angelu Gabriel had the most Most Runs-Batted-In (RBI).  

The UAAP 10-peat champions then continued their onslaught, soaring past PUP, 5-4, to clinch the Women’s Club Division crown last November 26 in Sangley Point. 

Jane Marie Sigue, who was hailed Most Valuable Player (MVP), also bagged the Best Pitcher, and Most Home Runs awards, while Marika Joana Manaig stood out with the most RBI.
