A team of innovative minds from Adamson University took center stage at the 2023 National Inventors Week Celebration, held from November 20 to 24, 2023, at Ayala Malls-Manila Bay.
Ms. Angeli Rescober and Mr. Bryle Samson from the College of Pharmacy, along with Engr. Jasper Araña and Engr. Edwin Astorga from the ECE Department, in partnership with the AdU Innovation & Technology Support Office (ITSO), participated as exhibitors, presenting their own innovations.
Ms. Rescober and Mr. Samson showcased their product, Claritea, a healthier and delectable drink made from locally grown Philippine Wild Raspberry. The product distinguishes itself by its quick preparation, taking only 5 minutes, and is preservative-free.
Claritea is designed with health benefits, boosting the immune system, and deemed safe for diabetic patients.
On the other hand, Engr. Araña and Engr. Astorga exhibited prototypes of two projects developed under the AltruInnovate Program in collaboration with ACube Technologies and the School of Internet of Things.
Siklista, an Anti-Theft Security System for Bicycles, addresses the growing concern of bicycle theft. PONDO, meanwhile, presents a method of reducing power consumption in a Pond Monitoring System, contributing to energy efficiency in environmental monitoring.
The AltruInnovate Program, a collaborative effort between Adamson University and Accenture, aligns with the social technopreneurship agenda, encouraging innovations that contribute to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals for 2030.
These projects not only showcase the technical expertise of Adamson's faculty and students but also demonstrate the university's commitment to addressing real-world challenges through innovative solutions.
