The Adamsonian Community came together last December 1 to usher in the Christmas spirit as the University hosted Paskong Adamsonian 2023 at the Saint Vincent (SV) Grounds.
With the theme Paskong Bughaw sa San Marcelino, the event exemplified inclusivity, as shown on the event now being an open-gate event for Adamson U students, including Senior High School students.
In his remarks, University President Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM tied the celebration to Adamson’s recent feat in the Quacquarelli Symonds Asia University Rankings where AdU ranked fifth in the Philippines, seeing it as an early Christmas gift for the institution and the community.
Festivities started with the kick-off show handled by Cultural Affairs Office (CAO), which featured artists from ABS-CBN's Starpop Campus Tour -- Lucas Garcia, Nameless Kids, Jeremy G., Anji Salvacion, Angela Ken and Maki.
The first part of the program also put into spotlight acts from the University’s performing arts groups, namely the Adamson Chorale, Adamson University Street Senior High School and College, Brass Band, Acoustic Band, and AUDC Folk and Dance Sport groups.
Meanwhile, the main program handled by the Adamson University Student Government (AUSG) commenced in the evening.
The concert showcased performances from homegrown artists and up-and-coming bands and singers as the event continued.
The main program included presentations from Gravity SET, Himig – Musicians of Adamson University and Tinik ng Teatro.
Among the talents, on the other hand, were Jannah Bocatiya, Magiliw Street, Nowan, JR Herrero, Similar Sky and Bert Symoun.
