Adamson lit up the historic façade of the Saint Vincent Building into blood red to show solidarity with persecuted Christians around the world, November 29.

The said initiative is part of the University’s support for the Red Wednesday advocacy spearheaded by international Catholic pastoral aid organization Aid to the Church in Need.

Formal rites led by Campus Ministry Office Director Fr. Nelson Bisco, CM started at the ST Chapel followed by a short procession that concluded in a candle lighting ceremony in front of the SV Building.

This year’s Red Wednesday carried the theme “Embracing the persecuted, oppressed and in-need Christians.”

University officials, including University President Fr. Marcelo V. Manimtim, CM and Vice-President for Financial Affairs Fr. Rafael K. Eloriaga, CM were present during the ceremonies at the SV Façade along with students and staff who also participated in the event. The community was also encouraged to wear red shirts.
